Golden, crispy bread with gooey havarti cheese and sweet-tangy cranberry sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices Havarti cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Orange Brandy Cranberry Sauce
  • Optional: a handful of fresh arugula or thinly sliced apple

Instructions

  1. Spread mayo on one side of each bread slice – this is the secret to a perfectly crispy crust. of sourdough bread
  2. On the non-mayo side, layer Havarti cheese and 1 tablespoon of Orange Brandy Cranberry Sauce, then top with the other slice of bread, mayo side up.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the assembled sandwich in the pan.
  4. Cook 3-5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden and crunchy and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  5. Slice, serve, and enjoy a flavorful twist on a classic grilled cheese.
